School Council

From your School Council Interim Chair;

Thank you to all the Parents who volunteered with the EOJ School Council & Ocelots Fundraising Society for the 2016-2017 year.  School Council meets the 4th Tuesday of September.  We invite all EOJ parents to attend and participate. SC had our AGM in May but  we still  have permanent positions to fill for Chair, Secretary & Treasurer.  Currently, we are operating with some of those positions filled temporarily to keep us going.  Our Ocelots Fundraising Society had the AGM in May as well and we are still looking for a  permanent Treasurer.  The Casino has been approved for mid December so your Board is working hard behind the scenes over the next couple of months to make sure all the I's are dotted and T's are crossed. We have asked Administration for the Teacher's WISH LIST from our fundraising efforts and the upcoming Casino and we are starting to create a three year plan which will be completed with  Parent Involvement.  We also hope to have monthly online Fundraisers so the school isn't just depending on Casino funds.  You can find us on facebook at   EOJHS School Council & Fundraising Society.  You are welcome to email your School Council anytime at as we will check email throughout the summer months.

The Ecole Okotoks Jr. High School Council meets the 4th Tuesday of every month at 7:00 pm at the school. (This is based upon the time that school is in, not necessarily the calendar date).   All members of the School community are encouraged to attend.  We learn about the activities and achievements of our students as well as insight into the curriculum as well as staff and Council initiatives.

Hot Lunch Program - Up and Running

EOJHS School Council is excited to offer hot lunch two days a week. The days are Monday and Wednesday beginning immediately.
Please go to and register your child. See attachment for more information on how to register.

Please note:  all lunches must be claimed at lunch hour.  If a student is away for a field trip or absent due to illness, ordered lunches will not be held, nor reimbursed.

Pizza will still be available at the school on Tuesdays without pre-ordering and the canteen will operate as usual.
