From your School Council Chair;
Hi Ocelot parents
School Council usually meets at the school on the 2nd Wednesday of ‘most months’ at 6pm in the learning commons, everyone is welcome!
The first meeting of the 2019/2020 year will be Wednesday October 9, 6-7.30pm and will also serve as our AGM. We are looking for new board members including a vice chair and secretary.
- As a Parent of an EOJHS student, you are automatically a voice on the School Council and are welcome to attend any or all council sessions even if not holding a formal council role and we want and need to hear from you!
-You can come to 1 meeting or all of them, unless you want a specific board role you are welcome to come and just listen in or participate in discussions whenever you have time, we know life is busy!
– They are an important forum through which members of school communities play an advisory role in school improvement planning.
- Advise the principal and the school board respecting matters relating to the school. It is a means for parents and community members to work together with the school to support and enhance student learning.
